Our visit started with my Mom and Mr. Pask having a conversation after school. Mickey sat by my inhaler bag while I taught him how to play Candy Crush. Most addicting game ever! It wasn't too long before Mr. Pask wanted to play Candy Crush too.
That afternoon, my new neighbor Jenna helped us plant the first part of our garden. We planted spinach and lettuce. We didn't get really dirty but a little bit tired. We had to turn over the dirt and make lots of holes. It looks like an array of 4x6! Mickey helped spread the roots because the plants were root bound. That means they grew too big for the pot and the roots grow in a big loop. It isn't really good for the plant.
Friday night Mickey, Melissa and I went to my babysitter's house for a little bit. Emma likes to make jewelry and sometimes teaches us. I thought, "Mickey you have been around since episode one Steamboat Willie. So why don't you grow a spine and ask Minnie to marry you?! 93 years is a long long time!" With Emma's help, we were able to make a ring for Minnie.
The next day Mickey and I went to la classe di l'italiano. Signora Filomena was overjoyed to see Mickey. Since it was my second time going over the week, I already knew the words. Mickey helped me teach the class. Some of the words he learned were: gesso (chalk), banco (desk), cattedra (teacher's desk), lavagna (board).
There is a special little boy in the Saturday class. He has a disease that messes up his eye. He really liked Mickey so he got a Mickey hug!
Later that night we went out to dinner for my Dad's birthday. We couldn't have it on Sunday, so we had it on Saturday. We went out to the Bonefish Grill. It is in the same area as the Gatsby Salon (setting of Jerseylicious). No one in my house is allowed to watch that show! "Blah!" quote from my Mom. My sister and I wanted to see somebody famous but it was closed. Besides, my Mom said that those people were not a good kind of famous.
Mickey and I hung out at the Bonefish Grill. Mickey watched the phones as we played the Phone Game. Melissa and I had Fish and Chips and Shirley Temples. Mickey drank my Mom's beer. Luckily, he didn't drive home. But he did pay the bill. Thanks, Mickey! It was a good night.
We finally got to have my Dad's birthday cake. Mickey helped us do the last touches. Unfortunately, Mickey is on a diet. So no cake for him.
We ended our weekend with 15 laps of swimming at the YMCA. Mickey thought it was funny when Issac said "I don't like iPads, iPhones or iPods. I am the only I that's allowed!" Mickey fell back laughing. We were lucky to get a picture at the pool! Issac rarely stops working. He's always moving.
I had an awesome weekend with Mickey!
