Julian's Weekend with Mickey

On Saturday Mickey and I ran some errands with my Dad. We went to the dry cleaners, the pharmacy and to Starbucks. We came home and played Super Smash Brothers Brawl on the Wii. For dinner Saturday night we ate steak with Mickey (he didn’t actually eat anything) and it was good.

Mmm, steak for dinner!
Before bed Mickey and I read half of a chapter of Harry Potter. That chapter was about when Harry and his Uncle and Aunt were in a seaside shack and they met Hagrid, who busted through their door and started making sausages and gave one to Harry.

Going to bed after reading Harry Potter
On Sunday morning Mickey and my whole family ate waffles that my mom and dad made. Mickey liked the smell of the waffles and even tried to steal some! Then on Sunday Mickey, my father and I played a game of Cathedral. Mickey and I lost the first round, won the second and tied on the last. On Sunday night we had chicken for dinner and it was delicious. After that we read some more Harry Potter and went to bed.

Mickey's 4 Day NYC Weekend with Gavin! by Gavin Dokko

First, when I got Mickey, I was a little nervous, excited, embarrassed and happy. My family and I were going to New York City! Obviously we decided to bring the mouse guy with us. It was great. So here's the story.

Mickey's 4 awesome NYC days with me started on Thursday. It all started when we went to Eataly, NOT Italy, to eat the best salami in New York. It is one of my favorite places in the city. Mickey smelled cheese and went loco. So we kept him in the bag. After we walked to Chelsea Market and ate dinner. It was delish and when my friends Randy and Wesley were finished, we all, except my sister Audrey, went to get gelato. I got citrus sorbet, Wesley got mint chocolate chip and Randy got chocolate. Mickey wanted cheese but they didn't have it.

On Friday, all of us went to Union Square Park. My two favorite parts were the giant spinning saucer which you get to ride on and the humongous dome that is mega hard to get up and super fun to slide down. And Mickey had a blast. I had to stick Mickey in my shirt while climbing up because he is just a stuffed mouse. And after that we started to walk to the High line. I thought we were far and it turned out to be true.

The Highline.

On Saturday, we went to a street fair outside the apartment and I got horrible gloves that mom told me were rip offs but my hands were like ice pops and they looked awesome. Mickey liked them too. Mickey helped me pick out a twelve dollar DIAMOND, five different fifty cent marbles and an awesome moss colored mini dreamcatcher. We also met TWO Marios and Luigi. The best part was we went to M&M World. Mickey went psycho and demanded me to dump all the aqua M&Ms till there was none left into his mouth. I just fooled him by walking over to the great wall of M&Ms but NOT pulling the lever that makes the M&Ms drop. Mickey got so so so soooooooo angry that he was 90% about to self destruct right from my bare hands. Since then we kept him in the bag for the rest of the afternoon.

Mickey not knowing who the real Mario is.

On Sunday, we went to a NYGiants game at the new MetLife Stadium! It was awesome. But unfortunately... we weren't allowed to bring Mickey into the stadium!!! Mickey was devastated, just devastated. Buuuuuttt we took a picture at the end. So he said...,"HALLELUJAH!!! YIPPEE!'' It was Giants vs. Raiders and Giants won 24 to 20.

Awesomesauce Weekend With Mickey
By Will Deyerle
November 4, 2013

Straight when I got Mickey, I was so excited to finally have a weekend with him. Let’s find out what it was like!

First of all, I made him a rainbow loom bracelet. It was a glow in the dark neon one, and it had an s-clip. It was so cool. Mickey was so excited for his first fishtail bracelet and he’s been wearing it ever since!

Now, you’ll see the next picture of me and Mickey munching on something to eat. It was green beans. Mickey didn’t like it at first, but after he had a little bit of milk, he was fine.

Finally, at the end of the day, our Pop-Pop came over to say hi. Mickey was so surprised because he saw a new face, but he was very excited. When I introduced him, Mickey shook my Pop-Pop’s hand!

Mickey slept on a bunch of old pillows in my room that night. When he woke up in the morning with tired looking eyes, he said that he had slept great. I believed him, even though his eyes were tired. I knew what he meant.

Saturday was hockey day for me. Mickey said he was too tired, so he couldn’t come to the rink. I said, “Oh well. Have a fun time watching TV!” When I came home, I went to my room to check on him. He was snoring like crazy.

Later that day, I gave him something to read. It was a comic book. Although it did have a lot of pictures, it still had words. Mickey was so thrilled with the comic book; his favorite part was when mini-Hulk figures appeared in the Hulk cereal. That’s kind of complicated to explain, but he liked it.

On Sunday, I woke up a little bit earlier than I usually do, because I wanted to start the day. I came downstairs and put Mickey on the couch. Later that morning, we had breakfast. It was good. I think Mickey is kind of a fan of toasted rice cereal! Together we gulped down our bowls.

And then, I had a container of pomegranate yogurt.

Next, we started watching a couple of shows. Mickey said his favorite was “Teen Titans Go!”, and mine was the same. I was surprised that he liked a bunch of teenage superheros fighting over stuff. It turns out, he really wanted to see Robin throw the boomerang bombs at his test dummies.

A couple of hours later, we had lunch. His favorite was a roast beef sandwich with cheese. Not a surprise that he liked the cheese! After all, he is a mouse.

Finally, I told Mickey that he was going to meet my sister Tess … again. You see, Tess was in Mr. Pask’s class three years ago, and had taken Mickey home too.  After all that time, Mickey was surprised to see her familiar face again. We all sat down together to take a picture.

And THAT was my awesomesauce weekend with Mickey!
