Mickey In Michael's House

                                      Mickey in Michael's House

On the first day, Mickey and I went to get books signed by Dan Gutman.   First,  Mickey and I had to wait outside.  When we got inside, we picked books out and paid for them.  Then we got them signed.  He signed Dr. Carbles Is Losing His Marbles and The Genius Flies.  He wrote Michael is cool.

On Friday night, Mickey watched the movies Planes with my sisters Brooke and Erin.  His favorite part was when two planes got stuck together between a mountain.  He slept at the bottom of my bed.

The next day, he went to the Army Navy football game in Philadelphia.  He went to our tailgate and watched Sandlot the movie.  It was 33 degrees.  He tried millionaires bacon.  In the end, Navy won the game.

On Sunday, he went to my swim meet at Seton Hall.  He saw me do a 100 free and 50 back.  He got chocolate and he also saw my sister, Erin, swim.  He saw Will Deyerle there.  Mickey wanted to try swimming and diving.

Julian's Weekend with Mickey

On Saturday Mickey and I ran some errands with my Dad. We went to the dry cleaners, the pharmacy and to Starbucks. We came home and played Super Smash Brothers Brawl on the Wii. For dinner Saturday night we ate steak with Mickey (he didn’t actually eat anything) and it was good.

Mmm, steak for dinner!
Before bed Mickey and I read half of a chapter of Harry Potter. That chapter was about when Harry and his Uncle and Aunt were in a seaside shack and they met Hagrid, who busted through their door and started making sausages and gave one to Harry.

Going to bed after reading Harry Potter
On Sunday morning Mickey and my whole family ate waffles that my mom and dad made. Mickey liked the smell of the waffles and even tried to steal some! Then on Sunday Mickey, my father and I played a game of Cathedral. Mickey and I lost the first round, won the second and tied on the last. On Sunday night we had chicken for dinner and it was delicious. After that we read some more Harry Potter and went to bed.

Mickey's 4 Day NYC Weekend with Gavin! by Gavin Dokko

First, when I got Mickey, I was a little nervous, excited, embarrassed and happy. My family and I were going to New York City! Obviously we decided to bring the mouse guy with us. It was great. So here's the story.

Mickey's 4 awesome NYC days with me started on Thursday. It all started when we went to Eataly, NOT Italy, to eat the best salami in New York. It is one of my favorite places in the city. Mickey smelled cheese and went loco. So we kept him in the bag. After we walked to Chelsea Market and ate dinner. It was delish and when my friends Randy and Wesley were finished, we all, except my sister Audrey, went to get gelato. I got citrus sorbet, Wesley got mint chocolate chip and Randy got chocolate. Mickey wanted cheese but they didn't have it.

On Friday, all of us went to Union Square Park. My two favorite parts were the giant spinning saucer which you get to ride on and the humongous dome that is mega hard to get up and super fun to slide down. And Mickey had a blast. I had to stick Mickey in my shirt while climbing up because he is just a stuffed mouse. And after that we started to walk to the High line. I thought we were far and it turned out to be true.

The Highline.

On Saturday, we went to a street fair outside the apartment and I got horrible gloves that mom told me were rip offs but my hands were like ice pops and they looked awesome. Mickey liked them too. Mickey helped me pick out a twelve dollar DIAMOND, five different fifty cent marbles and an awesome moss colored mini dreamcatcher. We also met TWO Marios and Luigi. The best part was we went to M&M World. Mickey went psycho and demanded me to dump all the aqua M&Ms till there was none left into his mouth. I just fooled him by walking over to the great wall of M&Ms but NOT pulling the lever that makes the M&Ms drop. Mickey got so so so soooooooo angry that he was 90% about to self destruct right from my bare hands. Since then we kept him in the bag for the rest of the afternoon.

Mickey not knowing who the real Mario is.
Mickey wanting to eat giant M&M man.
Mickey acting loco.
Me pranking Mickey.

On Sunday, we went to a NYGiants game at the new MetLife Stadium! It was awesome. But unfortunately... we weren't allowed to bring Mickey into the stadium!!! Mickey was devastated, just devastated. Buuuuuttt we took a picture at the end. So he said...,"HALLELUJAH!!! YIPPEE!'' It was Giants vs. Raiders and Giants won 24 to 20.

Awesomesauce Weekend With Mickey
By Will Deyerle
November 4, 2013

Straight when I got Mickey, I was so excited to finally have a weekend with him. Let’s find out what it was like!

First of all, I made him a rainbow loom bracelet. It was a glow in the dark neon one, and it had an s-clip. It was so cool. Mickey was so excited for his first fishtail bracelet and he’s been wearing it ever since!

Now, you’ll see the next picture of me and Mickey munching on something to eat. It was green beans. Mickey didn’t like it at first, but after he had a little bit of milk, he was fine.

Finally, at the end of the day, our Pop-Pop came over to say hi. Mickey was so surprised because he saw a new face, but he was very excited. When I introduced him, Mickey shook my Pop-Pop’s hand!

Mickey slept on a bunch of old pillows in my room that night. When he woke up in the morning with tired looking eyes, he said that he had slept great. I believed him, even though his eyes were tired. I knew what he meant.

Saturday was hockey day for me. Mickey said he was too tired, so he couldn’t come to the rink. I said, “Oh well. Have a fun time watching TV!” When I came home, I went to my room to check on him. He was snoring like crazy.

Later that day, I gave him something to read. It was a comic book. Although it did have a lot of pictures, it still had words. Mickey was so thrilled with the comic book; his favorite part was when mini-Hulk figures appeared in the Hulk cereal. That’s kind of complicated to explain, but he liked it.

On Sunday, I woke up a little bit earlier than I usually do, because I wanted to start the day. I came downstairs and put Mickey on the couch. Later that morning, we had breakfast. It was good. I think Mickey is kind of a fan of toasted rice cereal! Together we gulped down our bowls.

And then, I had a container of pomegranate yogurt.

Next, we started watching a couple of shows. Mickey said his favorite was “Teen Titans Go!”, and mine was the same. I was surprised that he liked a bunch of teenage superheros fighting over stuff. It turns out, he really wanted to see Robin throw the boomerang bombs at his test dummies.

A couple of hours later, we had lunch. His favorite was a roast beef sandwich with cheese. Not a surprise that he liked the cheese! After all, he is a mouse.

Finally, I told Mickey that he was going to meet my sister Tess … again. You see, Tess was in Mr. Pask’s class three years ago, and had taken Mickey home too.  After all that time, Mickey was surprised to see her familiar face again. We all sat down together to take a picture.

And THAT was my awesomesauce weekend with Mickey!

CJ and MICKEY... What a great weekend! By CJ Dencker

                                           MICKEY
First Mickey and I went to my flag football game on Saturday morning and my team the Colts won 49-7. I almost got an interception. Mickey was cheering us every time we got a touchdown. He thought that we were very good.

Next on Sunday, I had a hockey game at 7:00 in the morning. I had to wake up at 6:00 in the morning. Mickey was very tired just like I was. We won 11-3 it was very fun. I scored a couple of goals too.

Finally I had tackle football Mickey thought that we didn’t wear armor. In the first game we won by a lot of touchdowns and I scored one of them! Mickey said,” That was a good touchdown” I said,” Thanks”. In the second game we didn’t do as well we lost but that doesn’t matter this week are the playoffs and we are going to win them!

Mickey and I had a super great weekend together!

Barnes' Weekend with Mickey

We took Mickey to our house for the weekend on Friday
after school! He met my Dad, sister, Emma and my
brother, Henry. After he came to pick me up from golf,
I introduced him to our Minnie and Mickey. They were
all very happy.

On Saturday, he watched me at the race and cheered
me on. After that, he came to my soccer practice
and went out for pizza with us.He loved it! My
uncles came over that night and kicked the
soccer balls so high in the sky that Mickey
thought they were fireworks.

On Sunday, Mickey watched me play soccer at
The World Cup Festival. It was raining a little bit,
so he watched me from the car. When I came back
and told him my team won and he was so excited.

It was a fun weekend with Mickey and I hope
he can come visit again soon.

The Best Weekend with Mickey!

Wow, I was so excited to take Mickey home.  We had lots of plans for the weekend so Mickey was going to be very busy!  On Friday evening, we drove to Wendy’s and I had chicken nuggets and fries but Mickey wasn’t hungry.  Then, we went to the pet store and Mickey stayed in the car because there were lots of cats there.  It was feeding time for the snakes and we saw them eating baby mice.  Good thing we didn’t bring Mickey!
On Saturday morning, we went to my hockey game in Union.  Mickey never saw a hockey game before.  Mickey saw me score 4 goals and he cheered for me in the crowd.  In the evening, we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa in northern New Jersey.  We didn’t bring Mickey because there was a thunderstorm and he could have gotten wet!
Today, Mickey explored our house. He was so amazed because he visited our guinea pig, Alejandra. Mickey thought she was a cat and was scared but we told him that she would not hurt him. We decided to dress Mickey up in a Yankee uniform and we took lots of pictures. Then, he posed for a picture with my mom and I for mother’s day. Finally, we found him beginning the blog of his best weekend ever at Joseph’s house!

Mickey in the HOUSE!!!! A Weekend with Emily!

This was my first weekend with Mickey.  I was so excited!

Our visit started with my Mom and Mr. Pask having a conversation after school.  Mickey sat by my inhaler bag while I taught him how to play Candy Crush.  Most addicting game ever!  It wasn't too long before Mr. Pask wanted to play Candy Crush too.

That afternoon, my new neighbor Jenna helped us plant the first part of our garden.  We planted spinach and lettuce.  We didn't get really dirty but a little bit tired.  We had to turn over the dirt and make lots of holes.  It looks like an array of 4x6!  Mickey helped spread the roots because the plants were root bound.  That means they grew too big for the pot and the roots grow in a big loop.  It isn't really good for the plant.

Friday night Mickey, Melissa and I went to my babysitter's house for a little bit.  Emma likes to make jewelry and sometimes teaches us.  I thought, "Mickey you have been around since episode one Steamboat Willie. So why don't you grow a spine and ask Minnie to marry you?! 93 years is a long long time!"  With Emma's help, we were able to make a ring for Minnie.

The next day Mickey and I went to la classe di l'italiano.  Signora Filomena was overjoyed to see Mickey.  Since it was my second time going over the week, I already knew the words.  Mickey helped me teach the class.  Some of the words he learned were:  gesso (chalk), banco (desk), cattedra (teacher's desk), lavagna (board).

There is a special little boy in the Saturday class.  He has a disease that messes up his eye.  He really liked Mickey so he got a Mickey hug!

Later that night we went out to dinner for my Dad's birthday.  We couldn't have it on Sunday, so we had it on Saturday.  We went out to the Bonefish Grill.  It is in the same area as the Gatsby Salon (setting of Jerseylicious).  No one in my house is allowed to watch that show!  "Blah!" quote from my Mom.  My sister and I wanted to see somebody famous but it was closed.  Besides, my Mom said that those people were not a good kind of famous.

Mickey and I hung out at the Bonefish Grill.  Mickey watched the phones as we played the Phone Game.  Melissa and I had Fish and Chips and Shirley Temples.  Mickey drank my Mom's beer.  Luckily, he didn't drive home.  But he did pay the bill.  Thanks, Mickey!  It was a good night.

On Sunday, I went to the Surgent's tumbling class with Kate and Catherine.  It was 3 hours long!  It was really fun hanging out with Kate, Catherine and Mickey.  Later that day, Mickey met his long lost brother. Number 463!!!

We finally got to have my Dad's birthday cake.   Mickey helped us do the last touches.  Unfortunately, Mickey is on a diet.  So no cake for him.

We ended our weekend with 15 laps of swimming at the YMCA.  Mickey thought it was funny when Issac said "I don't like iPads, iPhones or iPods.  I am the only I that's allowed!"  Mickey fell back laughing.  We were lucky to get a picture at the pool!  Issac rarely stops working.  He's always moving.

I had an awesome weekend with Mickey!

Mickey's weekend with Jack

Mickey and I had a great weekend.

First, we went to my Grandma's house.  For dinner we had chicken, avocados, string beans, and risotto.  Mickey liked the risotto.  The next day was like gameday.  We played Blackjack and Monopoly.  Mickey and I won Blackjack and my grandma won Monopoly.

Jack and Mickey enjoying dinner at grandma's house.

Mickey has a healthy appetite for avocado, chicken, string beans and rissoto.

The next day, we went to the Central Park Zoo.  Mickey was afraid of the snow leopards but loved the sea lions.  He also liked the lemurs.  In addition, he liked the red pandas. Also the turtles .he liked.  He liked the polar bears and the penguins.  He also liked the 4-D movie.

Mickey thinking about some Dim Sum at Shun Lee in New York City.

For dinner we were going to go to Ollie's, a Chinese resteraunt.  When we got there, we saw a sign that said they were closed forever.  So we went to a differrent Chinese resteraunt called Shun Lee.

Mickey hanging out and blending-in with some of Jack's stuffed animals.

After a long day in New York City, it was back home to get some rest before going back to school.  But Mickey and I had a great weekend!

My Spring Break With Mickey

To start off my spring break with Mickey we went straight to the airport to fly to Florida. Mickey got scared because he's never been on a airplane before. It was a long trip to Florida. It took three hours to get there. There were LOTS OF SNACKS mickey had soooooooo many snacks he felt a little sick.

When we got off the airplane it was so warm. Mickey and I were so glad we went to Florida. We unpacked and went into the hot tube. IT WAS 100 DEGREES! Mickey and I wanted to fall asleep it was so warm. Mickey and I got out of the hot tube and dried off.

When we came back from Florida we went to Hoboken and we saw Carlos Bakery. We planned on going to get cookies but the line went down the street, It would have took hours to get into the store. but we got to get pizza at Grimaldi's.

It was Easter morning and Mickey was very excited to steel my candy. Mickey found my basket, Mickey LOVED the peeps and the chocolate. It was heaven for mickey. He almost ate my whole basket of candy.
